Greetings!
Let's cut right to the chase--we are about to depart on another adventure and hope you'll follow along!
As our 30th wedding anniversary was approaching last year, we talked about celebrating it with another trip to Europe... we also have long been wanting to explore the world with our good friends, Tony and Heidi, and it wasn't too tough to talk them into it. Our trip began to take shape over the fall and winter as we narrowed down where to go and what to see. In a blink it's almost here. We leave next week for France and Spain--somebody pinch me!
On Thursday, March 13, Steve and I will fly to Paris, where we'll stay for eight days. We have a packed itinerary full of Paris as well as a few day trips to nearby spots. On March 22nd, we'll take the train to Spain where we'll meet up with Tony and Heidi for Part II. We will cram every inch of sight-seeing we possibly can into three days in Barcelona. Then we'll make a quick visit to the island of Formentera before heading on to Madrid for the last three days of our excellent adventure! We'll be back in the US on March 31st.
The past two months have been filled with researching travel, tours, lodging, and history, waiting in online ques for advance tickets, and attempting to follow directions on French and Spanish sites (at something less than 100% success). But here we are with a pretty fabulous itinerary, and we can't wait to share stories and pictures with you in the next couple of weeks.
